WHY STAY WITH US?

WHY EXPLORE BEN LOMOND STATION?

WHY DO OUR 2 DAY GUIDED WALK?

1.   We are a small family company
In Queenstown it is often said by tourist that they never meet any locals.   With Ben Lomond Journeys you with be hosted by the Fosters who have been living on Ben Lomond Station for over 25 years and have a wealth of knowledge on farming, gold mining history and New Zealand culture.

2. Very accessible to Queenstown
Ben Lomond Station is just over the hills of Queenstown, a short 7 minute helicopter, or an hour 4wd from Queenstown.

3. Stunning vistas in all directions

4. Private
When you stay with us or do our 2 day guided walk you will be

On many other guided walks in NZ you are walking on public walking tracks with large groups.   The Shotover Moonlight 2 day guided walk is on private land - no other tourist in sight.   You only need to carry a small day bag, there are hot showers and all your meals are provided.

5. Gold mining history

6. 'Dead Zone' - Vodafone & 2Degrees
Want to truly switch off and just enjoy the scenery without being contacted 24/7?    While we do have Telecome XT reception at our lodges, reception is marginal in lots of other locations on the station giving you a good reason to disconnect from the online world and relax in the real world.

7. See New Zealand High Country Wild Life
There are  close to 7000 merino sheep and 200 cattle in large endless paddocks.   Also on the station are wild fellow deer which are often seen grazing all year round - they've even been spotted on the lawn at either lodges.
