Shotover Moonlight Mountain Marathon

Overview

New Zealand’s most spectacular mountain marathon – an epic race through Ben Lomond Station with ever changing spectacular scenery and trail type

Starting beside the famous Shotover River you’ll run along sheep tracks, historic gold mining water races and high country mustering routes. The scenery is forever changing as you climb and descend through tussock lands, mountain ridges, beech forest and creeks, a scree slope descent, a ladder climb beside a waterfall and even a tunnel on the valley floor.
