LODGE ACCOMMODATION

BEN LOMOND LODGE

Accommodation is shared in 5 separate chalets, each of which have 3 rooms, and in the main building. There are hot showers and toilets in the main building adjacent to the dining and living rooms and bar. We can provide private exclusive use for groups of about 34 at Ben Lomond Lodge.

SHOTOVER MOONLIGHT MOUNTAIN MARATHON

The inaugural Shotover Moonlight Mountain Marathon will be held on the 4th of February 2012.  It begins at the Pipeline Bridge across the Shotover River and ends at the Ben Lomond Station woolshed at Moke Lake. The route initially follows the Shotover River, past old gold dredging equipment, and continues to follow old water races. The course traverses the home of 3500 superfine merino sheep, and you will follow the route they take each spring to be shorn.

Special Race Weekend Accommodation Packages Available

Accommodation is available at Ben Lomond Lodge on the night before Race Day for marathon competitors and supporters.  Accommodation for Saturday and Sunday nights is also available.

Marathon competitors  $299. This all-inclusive package includes dinner, bed, breakfast, heli-transport to the start of the race and the race entrance fee.

Supporters $139.   This includes dinner, bed, breakfast and a takeaway lunch. You will have the advantage of some spectacular vantage points for viewing sections of the Race. These vantage points are only accessible if you are staying at the Lodge. You will need your own 4WD transport.

Ben Lomond Lodge and Moonlight Lodge are situated in the remote Moonlight Valley and are accessible only on a private road. They are about 1 hours drive from Queenstown, of which about 20 minutes is 4WD. Alternatively it is about a 6 minute helicopter flight from Queenstown airport. There are also tracks for mountain biking or walking in. We specialise in Company get-togethers, whether for a team building weekend, a conference or for an overnight party at a private secluded venue. You choose the venue appropriate for your accommodation needs.

MOONLIGHT LODGE

Moonlight Lodge has accommodation for 20 guests, all in ensuite rooms. There are five double rooms and 2 multi-share rooms, all with private bathrooms. The communal living areas consist of a lounge, dining room and upstairs library.

Moonlight Lodge will be open at the start of the 2012-2013 season.
